Seven chapters tell about life in Nairobi, juxtaposing it with the features of bebop: fast pace, bold improvisations, virtuosic solos, and apparent nonsense. Like bebop, Nairobi may not be to everyone's taste, but it offers the chance to experience something profound. The documentary presents a deeply personal experience, offering luxury, poor, dusty suburbs, or a unique opportunity to glimpse life in the dry "other world" of northern Kenya.
